Involved Subsidiaries:The design of a 7,500 sf yacht club in a historic and reconstructed 19th century mill on the water front in the town of Stonington, Ct. The project was structured as a condominium purchase agreement with the project developer, Clearview Properties of Stanford on a turnkey basis.
Mr. Kimmerle as chairman of the club's siting committee lead negotiations on behalf of this newly formed club while the Kimmerle Group designed the project including full turnkey specifications and detailed design development drawings.
Project was completed in 2006 and the club has enjoyed a full subscription in the past year making this asset not only affordable but the central benefit of membership.
The space itself includes a full bar, dining room, meeting and library space, fully functional kitchen, offices, and toilet and shower facilities for members and boaters some of who overnight on their yacht?s in the harbor season long.

The Stonington Harbor Yacht club has already become a landmark for mariners in their seasonal voyages from the NY metropolitan area to Block Island, Martha?s Vineyard and Nantucket. Stonington Harbor has been a traditional way point on that route for decades and the club now furnishes accommodations for affiliated yacht clubs throughout Long Island Sound and the larger eastern seaboard.
